EVANSTON, Ill. —  Northwestern closes out a three-match homestand when it hosts Nebraska on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT on B1G+ at Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium.

LAST TIME OUT
Northwestern (4-2-6, 0-1-4 Big Ten) had its eight-game unbeaten streak snapped in a 2-1 loss to No. 18 Penn State last Sunday. The Wildcats outshot the Nittany Lions 16-7, but were unable to find the back of the net until sophomore forward Kennedy Roesch converted an 88th-minute penalty kick. NU's eight-game unbeaten streak is the sixth-longest in program history and the longest since it opened the 2023 season unbeaten through nine games.

NORTHWESTERN NOTABLES
First-year goalkeeper Nyamma Nelson has been a standout for NU in her rookie campaign, recording six shutouts this season, third-most in the Big Ten and 15th-most nationally. The West Linn, Ore. native's six clean sheets are sixth-most in school history and third-most by a first-year all-time.

Sophomore forward Kennedy Roesch tallied her team-high fourth goal of the season in the setback against Penn State. As a first-year, Roesch led all 'Cats with six goals and 14 points. Roesch's six goals marked the most by a Wildcat first-year since 2010 (Kate Allen). The 'Cats are 6-1-3 when Roesch tallies a goal.

SCOUTING NEBRASKA
Nebraska (5-2-5, 0-2-3 Big Ten) ranks fifth in the Big Ten in goals against average, allowing 0.75 goals per game. Junior forward Kayma Carpenter leads the Huskers and ranks ninth in the Big Ten with five goals on the season. Senior goalkeeper Cece Villa has a .824 save percentage in 12 games this season.

Sunday's meeting marks the 17th meeting between Northwestern and Nebraska. UNL leads the series 7-6-1.

Northwestern will hit the road for a trip to Indiana on Thursday, Oct. 9 at 6:30 p.m. CT on B1G+ before returning home for a contest against Rutgers on Sunday, Oct. 12 at 1 p.m. CT on B1G+.
