ROSEMONT, Ill. — Graduate student kicker Jack Olsen was named Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week for the first time in his career, the conference announced Monday.

Olsen converted 3-of-3 field goals during Northwestern's 22-21 win at Penn State on Saturday, which included a season-long make of 41 yards. Olsen, along with specialists on the field goal operation, LS Jack Florentine and H Henry Helms, also went 1-for-1 on point after tries.

With his three makes, Olsen moved into 10th all-time in program history for field goals made, extending his career tally to 27. His career field goal percentage of 73.0 ranks fourth Northwestern history.

Olsen is the first Wildcat specialist to earn the award since graduate student punter Luke Akers did so on Oct. 14, 2024.

Over the past three games, Olsen has made 6-of-7 field goal attempts and remained perfect on PATs. He is 11-of-11 on extra points in 2025.

Last season, Olsen started at kicker in the team's first five games before sustaining a season-ending injury. He went 7-of-10 on field goals in that span, and tied his career-long with a 46-yarder against Eastern Illinois on Sept. 14, 2024.
