‘Cats Host SIU, Miami (OH) to Open 2025-26 Season

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern swimming and diving is set to open its 2025-26 season on Saturday, Oct. 11, as it hosts Southern Illinois and Miami (OH) at 11 a.m. CT inside Norris Aquatics Center.
NORTHWESTERN NOTABLES
The Wildcat women are receiving votes (4) in the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Division I Top 25 Dual Meet Poll.
Four Wildcats were named to the 2025-26 Big Ten Swimmers and Divers to Watch List. Stuart Seymour and Kyle Ly represented Northwestern on the men's list, while Ekaterina Nikonova and Isabella Chen represented the 'Cats on the women's list.
The 'Cats sent an impressive 15 student-athletes to represent Northwestern at 2025 NCAA Championships in Federal Way, Wash. Northwestern returns 13 of those Wildcats for the 2025-26 season.
This past offseason, the Wildcat coaching staff welcomed the additions of Matthew Lowe and Mario McDonald as assistant coaches and Olivia Rosendahl as a diving graduate assistant ahead of the 2025-26 season.

SERIES HISTORY
The Wildcats swept Miami (OH) last season, defeating the RedHawks 203-97 on both the men's and women's sides in Evanston on Oct. 12, 2024. The 'Cats last competed against the Salukis in 2023, sweeping SIU by scores of 207-89 on the men's side and 197-102 on the women's side on Oct. 21, 2023.

Northwestern will travel to Notre Dame on Friday, Oct. 24 at 5 p.m. CT before facing off with Michigan and UCLA (women's only) on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 11 a.m. CT.
