Schiller Duals set January 31 – February 1 in Ryan Fieldhouse

EVANSTON, Ill. (October 1, 2025) – Piloted by 10th-year head coach Zach Moss, the Northwestern University fencing program released its schedule for the upcoming 2025-26 season on Wednesday.  The 'Cats are set to host a pair of home events, highlighted by the Schiller Duals this winter.

"This is a tough schedule where we will test ourselves against the best teams in the country," Moss commented.  "We are looking forward to a great year with a strong, committed group of fencers and are thrilled to have the opportunity to pursue an NCAA Championship."

After kicking off the 2025-26 slate in Salt Lake City, Utah at the October NAC (Oct. 3-6), Northwestern will be in action close to home when it hosts the Remenyik ROC/RCJJ at Canlan Sports in Libertyville, Ill.

As the calendar turns to November, Moss' crew opens its dual slate in Columbus, Ohio at the Elite Invitational (Nov. 8-9).  Following a trip to Fort Worth, Texas for the November NAC (Nov. 14-17), the 'Cats will jet west to close out 2025 at the Western Invitational, November 22-23, in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Northwestern begins calendar year 2026 at the January NAC (Jan. 9-12) in Kansas City, Mo. Back-to-back trips east follow, as the Wildcats are slated to compete at the Tufts Invitational (Jan. 18) and the Penn State Invitational (Jan. 24), respectively.

The 'Cats will wrap up regular season dual competition by returning to the familiar sights of Ryan Fieldhouse to host the Schiller Duals, January 31 – February 1.

Following the February NAC (Feb. 12-15) in Cincinnati, Ohio, the 'Cats turn their attention towards the postseason, a run that begins with the Central Collegiate Fencing Conference (CCFC) Championships, February 21-22, in Granville, Ohio.  Northwestern returns to the Buckeye State two weeks later, visiting Cleveland, Ohio for the NCAA Midwest Regional on March 8.  The University of Notre Dame will play host to the 2026 NCAA Fencing Championships, March 19-20, in South Bend, Ind.

Northwestern will close out its season in Richmond, Va. at the April NAC, April 24-27.

Fresh off collecting his fifth straight CCFC Women's Team Coach of the Year award last April, Moss welcomes back a pair of United States Fencing Coaches Association (USFCA) All-Americans from 2024-25 in Daphne Chan Nok Sze and Natalie Shearer.  Chan Nok Sze also features as part of a group of seven returning All-CCFC honorees for the 'Cats.
