Northwestern Men’s Basketball Announces 2024-25 Non-Conference Schedule

EVANSTON, Ill. — The Northwestern men's basketball team has released its non-conference schedule for the 2024-25 season. The slate features seven home games inside Welsh-Ryan Arena, which includes five of the season's first six games. Tip times and TV network assignments will be announced at a later date.
Season tickets are available now. Northwestern will face Indiana, Michigan State, Nebraska, Rutgers, UCLA, USC and Wisconsin at home in Big Ten play on dates to be announced.
The 'Cats will open the 12th season of the Chris Collins era on Monday, Nov. 4 against Lehigh, before traveling for their only true road non-conference game of the season at Dayton on Saturday, Nov. 9. Last season, Northwestern defeated the Flyers 71-66, in what proved to be one of the most significant home wins of the 2023-24 season.
Northwestern remains home for the next four games, as it welcomes UIC on Tuesday, Nov. 12, Eastern Illinois on Friday, Nov. 15, Montana State on Tuesday, Nov. 19 and Pepperdine on Friday, Nov. 22.
As previously announced, the 'Cats will travel to Tempe, Ariz. for the Arizona Tip-Off and battle Butler on Thursday, Nov. 28 and take on either Mississippi State or UNLV on Friday, Nov. 29.
The 'Cats make the short trip to Milwaukee, Wis. for a neutral site tilt against Georgia Tech on Sunday, Dec. 15 before wrapping non-conference play at home against DePaul on Saturday, Dec. 21 and Northeastern on Sunday, Dec. 29.
Last season, Northwestern finished third in the Big Ten Conference, tying a single-season school-record by winning 12 games in conference play. Under the leadership of Sullivan-Ubben Head Men's Basketball Coach Chris Collins, the 'Cats reached the NCAA Tournament's Second Round for the second straight season and finished with a 22-12 record.
