Out of Peoria, Ill., Volmar burst on the scene last season as a first-year, starting in 16 of his 17 outings en route to earning a unanimous nod to the Big Ten's All-Freshman Team. He played a full 90 minutes in nine contests, scoring his first collegiate goal in a 4-2 victory against Ohio State on September 24. Volmar checked in at No. 7 on TopDrawerSoccer.com's Freshman Top 100 rankings at the conclusion of the campaign.
