EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern Sullivan-Ubben Head Men's Basketball Coach Chris Collins announced the addition of Keenan Fitzmorris to the roster for the 2024-25 season. A 7-footer, Fitzmorris will immediately bolster the Wildcats' frontcourt.

We are thrilled to announce the addition of Keenan Fitzmorris into our Northwestern basketball family," said Collins. "Keenan is an experienced big man with a versatile skill set that will be a tremendous boost to our front court this year. He is a hard-working, high-energy player that has always played with a team first mentality. We believe Keenan is a perfect fit for Northwestern and look forward to him arriving in Evanston and playing an integral role with our team."

Fitzmorris is coming to Northwestern as a graduate transfer, as he split time in his college career at Stanford — where he spent his freshmen and sophomore seasons — and Stony Brook.

Last season, he started in 11 of 35 games, where he averaged 10.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game. He was also one of Stony Brook's most efficient players, as he shot 50.9% from the field.

The 7-footer was named to the CAA All-Conference Tournament Team after Stony Brook finished as runner-ups in the tournament. Over four games, Fitzmorris averaged 9.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks per game. He scored 16 points twice in the tournament — the quarterfinals against Drexel and the finals against College of Charleston.

Throughout December and January, Fitzmorris had an eight-game streak of scoring in double figures. He started in seven of these games. Throughout the entirety of the season, the Overland Park, Kan. native reached double-figures 22 times.

His 1.1 blocks per game ranked eighth in the CAA. He had 10 games with 2+ blocks per game and tied his career-high with four blocks against UNC Wilmington in late January.

Fitzmorris started his collegiate career at Stanford, where he played 32 total minutes in his first two collegiate seasons. He then transferred to Stony Brook, where he became a permanent staple of their rotation for his junior and senior campaigns.

He prepped at New Hampton School in New Hampshire and helped guide the team to the New England Prep School Athletic Conference Class AAA Championship game in 2018. He was rated the No. 15 player at his position by 247Sports.
