Northwestern Announces 2024 Football Schedule

EVANSTON, lll. – Northwestern announced its 2024 football schedule on Wednesday, with all locations for the upcoming season finalized.
The Wildcats will play all of their home games in the Chicago metropolitan area, including its first five home games on Northwestern's campus inside the Lanny and Sharon Martin Lakeside Facility.
The 'Cats will play their final two home games at Wrigley Field against Ohio State (Nov. 16) and Illinois (Nov. 30).
Northwestern football will play in alternate home venues during the 2024 and 2025 seasons as Ryan Field undergoes a transformative rebuild thanks to a historic gift from the Ryan family.
Football season ticketholders from this past 2023 season will receive the first opportunity to purchase season tickets in the temporary facility. More information on seat selection process (timeline, seating options, and parking) will be communicated directly to 2023 football season ticket holders.
Non-season ticket holders that are interested in purchasing ticket packages, can join the Lakeside Waitlist for additional information and communication.

Northwestern will open its season with three-straight home games played on-campus along Lake Michigan at the temporary facility. The Wildcats season opener is scheduled for Saturday, August 31 vs. Miami (Ohio), followed by a matchup against Duke played on Saturday, September 7. The Wildcats will round out non-conference action against Eastern Illinois on Saturday, September 14.
The Wildcats finalized their Big Ten Conference schedule on November 2, based on a new schedule model developed by the conference to welcome Oregon, UCLA, USC and Washington beginning in the 2024 season.
The nine-game conference slate includes home games for the Wildcats against Indiana (Oct. 5) and Wisconsin (Oct. 19), which will be played in Evanston at the temporary facility. Northwestern will then head to historic Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs, for matchups against Ohio State (Nov. 16) and Illinois (Nov. 30) for its final two home dates.
Additional game information (kickoff times, TV networks, etc.) for the Wildcats' 2024 schedule will be announced by the Big Ten office at a later date. All dates and times are subject to change with TV network selections.
Northwestern is coming off a successful 2023 campaign which saw the Wildcats finish 8-5 en route to a 14-7 victory over Utah in the SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl, the program's fifth-consecutive bowl victory. The Wildcats' seven-win improvement marked the largest by any FBS program in the nation, earning Dan & Susan Jones Family Head Football Coach David Braun consensus Big Ten Coach of the Year honors while being named a finalist for National Coach of the Year.
