Adam leads Northwestern on individual leaderboard, placing 29th
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (May 15, 2024) – Cameron Adam and Niall Shiels-Donegan both turned in strong performances as the Northwestern University men's golf team wrapped up its 2023-24 season at the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional today in Chapel Hill, N.C.

The Wildcats posted a final-round 283 to wrap up play at the Finley Golf Club (par 70; 7,084 yards) in 12th place with a 54-hole team score of 854 (284-287-283). Clemson (275-266-274=815) rallied past East Tennessee State (274-265-277=816) to finish atop the team race, while Austin Greaser of event host North Carolina claimed the individual title with a 13-under-par 197 (66-65-66).
Adam secured a top-30 finish (29th), finishing the week with a one-under-par 209 (68-72-69) that was bolstered by a one-under-par 69 in today's final round. The Edinburgh, Scotland product birdied four holes on the day, bringing his total in the category for the week to 14, a mark which led the Wildcats. Adam closed the year by firing 15 rounds at par or better and recorded seven rounds in the 60s.
Shiels-Donegan brought an end to his debut season at Northwestern with his second consecutive even-par round of 70. Out of Mill Valley, Calif., Shiels-Donegan, who shared 42nd tallied a pair of birdies on both the front and back nine en route to his sixth round at par or better of 2023-24.
Daniel Svärd finished play tied for 51st with a 215 (71-72-72) following a two-over-par 72, while Ethan Tseng, who carded a three-over-par 73 on the day, landed three shots back at 218 (72-73-73=218), tied for 59th. James Imai closed play with his top 18-hole showing of the week, handing in a two-over-par 72 as he placed 65th with a 224 (75-77-72).
