Men's Tennis Selected for NIT Championship

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern men's tennis claimed a spot in the 2024 NIT Championship, the tournament committee announced Tuesday. The 'Cats will head to Bradenton, Fla., as part of an eight-team field that will compete for the championship from May 5-8 at IMG Academy.
The 'Cats will face four-seed Santa Clara in their first-round match-up, which will take place on Sunday, with time yet to be announced. Should the 'Cats advance, they would face the winner of Saint Louis and one-seed Tulsa in the semifinal on Tuesday. Pacific, Liberty, North Alabama and Eastern Kentucky fill out the opposite side of the bracket - potential foes should Northwestern reach the championship.
After beating Wisconsin in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament, the 'Cats enter the tournament with a 10-18 overall record. They were knocked out of the conference tournament by two-seed Michigan on Friday.
