EVANSTON, Ill. - No. 60 Northwestern is back at home this weekend as they prepare to host a trio of opponents at Combe Tennis Center. After splitting two matches in their first week of Big Ten action, the 'Cats will continue conference play against No. 40 Michigan on Friday evening and No. 18 Michigan State on Sunday morning. To cap off their weekend homestand, the Wildcats will face off with Chicago State on Sunday night in the second half of a doubleheader.

Last time out, the 'Cats grabbed a comeback victory on the road in University Park. Trailing 2-0, Northwestern rallied to score the next four points and secure their first Big Ten win of the season, bringing them to 1-1 in conference play and 6-12 overall.

Northwestern will continue its conference slate with No. 40 Michigan (8-10, 2-1 B1G) on Friday at 6 p.m. After dropping their Big Ten opener to No. 1 Ohio State, the Wolverines bounced back with victories over Wisconsin and Nebraska last weekend. They'll bring two ranked singles players to Evanston in Jacob Bickersteth (No. 125) and Gavin Young (No. 15), and those two are also ranked No. 27 when playing as a doubles duo.

On Sunday, Northwestern will host No. 18 Michigan State, with first serve set for noon. The Spartans have also won two straight and enter the weekend with a dominant 16-3 overall record, including a 2-0 mark in the Big Ten so far. Their roster includes three ranked singles players and three ranked doubles duos, including the No. 3 team in the country in Ozan Baris and Max Sheldon.

The 'Cats will wrap up the weekend schedule against Chicago State at 5:30 p.m. Sunday evening. At 3-16, the Cougars have dropped each of their last six matches dating back to March 8. They'll visit Evanston for the first time since last January 16, when the 'Cats came away with a 4-0 victory.

Following this weekend's matches, Northwestern will head back on the road to face Wisconsin and Nebraska next Friday and Sunday. Friday's match in Madison will begin at 4 p.m., while Sunday's first serve in Lincoln is scheduled for noon.
