Boo Buie Named NABC First Team All-District

KANSAS CITY – Northwestern guard Boo Buie has been named First Team All-District by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), the organization announced on Tuesday. The All-District honors are voted on by NABC-member coaches across NCAA Division I.
Buie leads the nation with eight games this season with 20-plus points and seven-plus assists. The next closest high-major player has recorded four games. He is averaging 19.2 points per game this season and 5.1 assists per game, the only high-major player in the country averaging 18-plus points and five-plus assists this season.
The Albany, N.Y. native leads all Wildcats from beyond the arc, converting on 85 made three-pointers after making 64 all of last season. He improved his three-point percentage from 31.6% (64-for-201) in 2022-23 to 44.3% (85-for-192) from deep in 2023-24, which leads the Big Ten and ranks fifth nationally.
Earlier this season, Boo Buie passed John Shurna as Northwestern's all-time leading scorer. Buie currently holds the record with 2,156 career points.
Buie's First Team All-District selection comes one week after being selected as the first unanimous First Team All-Big Ten honoree in program history. Buie also became just the second Wildcat to earn multiple First Team All-Big Ten selections.
Buie and the Wildcats are set to square off with Florida Atlantic in the First Round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament at 11:15 a.m. CT on Friday, March 22 on CBS and WGN Radio 720 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
