Northwestern racks up six ranked wins as part of 10-0 weekend inside Ryan Fieldhouse
EVANSTON, Ill. (February 7, 2024) – Returning to the friendly confines of Ryan Fieldhouse this past weekend, No. 8 Northwestern finished a perfect 10-0 as it hosted the Northwestern Duals.

The 'Cats opened competition on Saturday morning with a nailbiter against No. 11 Temple, with 5-4 victories from both the epee and foil squads propelling Northwestern to a narrow 14-13 win.
Following a 16-11 triumph over No. 10 Cornell that saw the hosts sweep all three weapons, the Wildcats posted a 14-13 win over UC San Diego before putting up an identical scoreline in a thrilling upset of No. 2 Notre Dame, marking the second time in as many weeks that Northwestern has toppled the Fighting Irish. A 20-7 victory over No. 8 Penn State capped off a sparking 5-0 opening day of competition.
Northwestern carried over momentum to Sunday, kicking off the morning with a 16-11 win against Central Collegiate Fencing Conference (CCFC) rival No. 5 Ohio State that featured 6-3 victories in both the foil and sabre.
After posting comfortable wins over Boston College, 17-10, Incarnate Word, 20-7, and No. 15 Air Force, 19-8, the Wildcats honored their graduating senior class in an emotional ceremony prior to their final dual of the weekend. Northwestern's seniors put in one final standout performance on their home strips, cruising to a 25-2 win over Fairleigh Dickinson.
