'Cats to Face No. 14 Hoosiers on Senior Night

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern women's basketball will close out their home season on Tuesday night in Welsh-Ryan Arena against the No. 14 Indiana Hoosiers. The game is set to begin at 6 p.m. and will be broadcast on Big Ten Network. Senior Night festivities will precede tip-off.
This will be the Wildcats' (8-19, 3-13 B1G) second meeting with Indiana (22-4, 13-3 B1G) this season after they fell to the Hoosiers 59-100 on Jan. 28 in Bloomington. Including that game, Indiana will enter Tuesday's contest on a four-game win streak against the 'Cats, dating back to 2020.
As they take on Indiana, Northwestern will seek to capitalize on both of their leading scorers. Melannie Daley and Caileigh Walsh have traded off at the top spot all year, with at least one of them leading the team's scoring in 20 of 27 games so far this season. Most recently, Walsh led the offense against Michigan, scoring a team-high 14 points on Saturday.
Maggie Pina has also continued to contribute. In her third straight start, Pina came just one point shy of tallying her fourth double-digit scoring performance of the month. The grad transfer enters Tuesday's game with a 44.7 percent mark from three-point range after sinking at least one long ball in each of her last seven games.
Pina, along with Paige Mott and Jasmine McWilliams, will be honored ahead of Tuesday's game as part of Northwestern's Senior Night. The ceremony will begin approximately 15 minutes before tip-off.
After tonight's game, the 'Cats will prepare for their final regular season game of the season, which will be played at Rutgers on Sunday. That game will tip off at 1 p.m. CT on B1G+.
