Fresh off a successful season opener where they triumphed over No. 5 Syracuse with an 18-15 victory, Northwestern enters this game with confidence and momentum. Madison Taylor led the charge with four goals and two assists, making her mark just 22 seconds into the match. Erin Coykendall delivered a stellar performance, notching four goals and four assists, while Lindsey Frank and Izzy Scane showcased their scoring potential with three goals each.
Erin Coykendall's outstanding contributions on the field earned her the prestigious title of Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week for the third time in her career, emphasizing her pivotal role in Northwestern's offensive strategy.
Previously with Notre Dame: Reflecting on their previous encounter, Northwestern's defensive dominance was evident with a remarkable 16 saves against Notre Dame.
