EVANSTON, Ill. (December 20, 2024) – Northwestern University senior Collin McCamy (Wake Forest, N.C./Crossroads Flex) was selected by the NYCFC in the second round (54th overall pick) of the 2025 Major League Soccer (MLS) SuperDraft on Friday.

McCamy has raked in accolades since arriving at Northwestern prior to the start of the 2021 season. The 6-foot-2 midfielder burst on the scene as a first-year, collecting Big Ten Conference All-Freshman Team honors. A three-time All-Big Ten pick for his career, McCamy brought home First Team All-Big Ten distinction following a junior campaign in which he tallied two goals and four assists. The 2024 Second Team All-Big Ten selection also received All-North Region nods from the United Soccer Coaches in each of the last two seasons.Â

A native of Wake Forest, N.C., McCamy has been a fixture in the Northwestern lineup since joining the 'Cats. He started in 56 of his 67 career appearances for Payne, closing his time as a Wildcat with four goals and seven assists. McCamy appeared in just shy of 4,500 minutes of game action.

NYCFC opens its 2025 season on February 22 when it takes on Inter Miami CF in Miami, Florida.
