Monty Holcombe, Isaac Lee to join ‘Cats at start of 2025-26 academic year
EVANSTON, Ill. (November 14, 2024) – Northwestern University head men's golf coach David Inglis announced the signing of a pair of student-athletes to Athletics Scholarship Agreements on Thursday. Monty Holcombe (Sutton, England/Wallington County Grammar School) and Isaac Lee (Hong Kong, China/DSC International School) will join the Wildcats at the start of the 2025-26 academic year.

Sutton, England • Wallington County Grammar School
High School/Club: Native of Sutton, England … Member of the 2023-24 England U18 Boys Team … Twice played on the Great Britian & Ireland Team in the Jacques Léglise Trophy … Competed alongside future Wildcat teammate Niall Shiels-Donegan in the 2023 edition of the event … Represented England in the 2024 Home Internationals, capturing 4.5 out of a possible six points … Placed third in the 2024 Carris Trophy … Captained the winning Surrey U18 Team in the National County Finals, going undefeated in match play as he collected 5.5 out of a possible six points … Won the 2024 London Foursomes, where he represented Walton Heath Golf Club, home to former Wildcat great Josh Jamieson … Went head-to-head with current Wildcat first-year Mark Gazi in a U16 match play event between England and Ireland … Earned another third-place finish at the Italian Boys U16 Championship in 2022 … Also played rugby and soccer during his time at Wallington County Grammar School … Played tennis on the national stage at a young age … Son of Jane Turner and Simon Holcombe …Intends to study Economics at Northwestern.
