Volleyball Announces First Sellout in Program History

10/31/2024 3:01:00 PM | Women's Volleyball

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern volleyball's match against No. 2 Nebraska on Sunday, November 3, has sold out, the program announced Thursday. The sellout is the first for a home volleyball match in Northwestern program history.

"What a great statement by our Northwestern fans and the Chicago volleyball community," head coach Tim Nollan said, "I look forward to Welsh-Ryan being a loud environment where our student-athletes get to compete and showcase their abilities at the highest level."

The achievement puts the 'Cats on track to set an attendance record for the third straight season. After drawing 4,019 against Nebraska in 2022, Northwestern volleyball bested that with 4,889 fans last September against Wisconsin.

Once the record falls this year, volleyball will be the second Northwestern sport in 2024 to record its first sellout, joining women's basketball, who accomplished the feat last January 31, against Iowa.

Fans attending Sunday's sold-out match against Nebraska are encouraged to arrive early and to take advantage of public transportation options, such as the purple line and Metra, to reduce traffic and ensure easier entry to Welsh-Ryan Arena. No tickets will be available for purchase at the door.

VB vs. Nebraska is SOLD OUT
