EVANSTON, Ill. (October 8, 2024) – The 60th Annual Ken Kraft Midlands Championships and Big Ten Conference Championships highlight the home portion of the 2024-25 Northwestern wrestling schedule, which was announced by Wildcats' head coach Matt Storniolo on Tuesday.
Â
After opening the new campaign at the Michigan State Open on November 9, Storniolo's crew hosts a pair of non-conference dual meets, entertaining Northern Illinois (Nov. 16) and Little Rock (Nov. 24), respectively, inside Welsh-Ryan Arena. December kicks off with a pair of trips west, as the 'Cats compete at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational, December 6-7, ahead of visiting San Luis Obispo, Calif. on December 19 to matchup with Cal Poly.
Â
The Ken Kraft Midlands Championships will return to the NOW Arena in suburban Hoffman Estates, Ill., December 29-30. Tickets for the 60th edition of the event will be available at a later date.
Â
A new calendar year brings with it the start of the Big Ten Conference gauntlet, which sees Northwestern open with back-to-back road tilts at Purdue (Jan. 10) and Illinois (Jan. 12). Michigan, fresh off a third-place finish at last season's NCAA Championships, makes its way to Evanston on January 17 before a clash with Minnesota (Jan. 26) closes out a brief two-dual homestand. Â
Â
The month of February opens with a trip to Bloomington, Ind. to take on Indiana (Feb. 1). Northwestern closes out its home dual schedule by battling Michigan State (Feb. 7) and Wisconsin (Feb. 14), while a February 16 date with Iowa serves as the regular season dual finale.
Â
For the first time since 2011, Northwestern will play host to the Big Ten Wrestling Championships, March 8-9, inside Welsh-Ryan Arena. The 2025 NCAA Wrestling Championships are set for March 20-22 inside the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pa.
Â
Information on season tickets for Northwestern wrestling will be released in the coming weeks. Fans can secure their spot inside Welsh-Ryan Arena by placing a $25 deposit for season tickets and will be contacted by a member of the Northwestern Ticket Office once season tickets are available.
