EVANSTON, Ill. -- The Northwestern women's basketball team got a 40-point showing from the bench, but fell 110-74 to the Iowa Hawkeyes at home Wednesday.
The Wildcats (7-14, 2-8) had three players score in double figures, led by Melannie Daley, who had 19 points and two steals. Hailey Weaver added 13 points and Paige Mott helped out with 10 points off the bench.
Northwestern shared the ball well in Wednesday's game, racking up 18 assists on 27 made field goals. Individually, Caroline Lau dished out the most for the Wildcats with six assists and Maggie Pina also helped out with four assists of her own.
