'Cats Head East to Face No. 14 Hoosiers

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Northwestern women's basketball will face a tough test Sunday as they hit the road to visit No. 14 Indiana in Bloomington. The 'Cats and the Hoosiers are set to tip off at 1 p.m. CT on B1G+.
The Wildcats (7-12, 2-6 B1G) dropped a close game to Penn State at home last time out on Thursday. Northwestern led as late as the final nine minutes of the game, making use of four double-digit scoring performances, but ultimately fell 65-76.
One of the four was Caileigh Walsh, who led the team with 17 points and 12 rebounds - her third double-double of the season and the fifth of her career. The junior is averaging 13.1 points per game after finishing as the team's leading scorer in four of their last five games.
Melannie Daley (12), Maggie Pina (11) and Caroline Lau (10) all also hit double figures to round out the group. Daley has scored at least ten points in 14 of 19 games this season and is second behind Walsh heading into Sunday's action, at 12.7 points per game. Pina made her second consecutive start for the Wildcats on Thursday and tied her season high for points while setting new season marks in rebounds (4) and steals (3).
Northwestern will meet a 16-2 Indiana team that has gone 7-1 in their first eight conference games, losing to only Iowa. They've won each of their last two and sit second in the Big Ten standings behind the Hawkeyes.
Following Sunday's game, the 'Cats will return home to face Iowa themselves, hosting the Hawkeyes at Welsh-Ryan Arena on Wednesday. That game is set to tip off at 7 p.m. and will be streamed exclusively on Peacock.
