'Cats Set for Road Battle With Michigan State

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Northwestern women's basketball travels to East Lansing Michigan to take on the Michigan State Spartans this Wednesday. The game will start at 5:30 p.m. CT and will be available to watch on B1G+.
The 'Cats (7-10) head into play Wednesday with a 2-4 mark in conference play after falling to Illinois on Sunday. They'll face a tough test in the 12-4 Spartans (2-3 B1G). While they haven't yet been ranked, Michigan State has received votes in each of the last seven AP Top-25 polls. The Spartans have won each of the last two against the 'Cats, giving them a 46-29 edge in the all-time series.
Last time out, Maggie Pina was Northwestern's leading scorer for the first time this season after logging her first double-digit game as a 'Cat with 11 points. She reached that figure on perfect 3-3 shooting from beyond the arch, the first time in her career she shot 100 percent from three on more than one attempt.
After Wednesday's game, the 'Cats will return to Welsh-Ryan Arena to face off against Penn State on Jan. 25 for their Pride Game. The contest is scheduled to tip off at 7 p.m. CT on Big Ten Network.
