EVANSTON, Ill. (August 12, 2024) – Northwestern University head men's golf coach David Inglis announced the addition of Aidan Kramer (Oviedo, Fla./Hagerty/Georgia Tech) to his 2024-25 roster on Monday. Kramer, a graduate transfer, joins the 'Cats after spending four years at Georgia Tech.
Â
"We are excited to welcome Aidan to Evanston this fall," Inglis commented. "Aidan brings with him maturity and experience after four years at Georgia Tech and I know he is excited about the prospect of chasing a championship in his final season of eligibility at Northwestern."
Â
Kramer amassed a 71.93 scoring average across 29 rounds of action during his time with the Yellow Jackets. He tallied 19 rounds at par or better, with five of those coming in the 60s.
Â
A native of Oviedo, Fla., Kramer is coming off his best season to date in 2023-24, posting a 71.57 stroke average in 14 rounds of play. He totaled 10 rounds at par or better and recorded his first career top-10 finish, sharing ninth at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate Invitational with a five-under-par 211 (70-70-71).
Â
In addition to his collegiate success, Kramer has also featured prominently on the amateur level, registering a pair of victories as part of a group of six top-10 finishes. He picked up his first win at the 2021 Yamaha Atlanta Open in Kennesaw, Georgia, prevailing in a three-man playoff. Kramer went on to be victorious again at the 2022 Rice Planters Amateur, finishing at 11-under-par after 54 holes before edging then-teammate Andy Mao in the first hole of a playoff.
Â
A four-time All-Seminole Athletic Conference (SAC) honoree during his time at Hagerty High School, Kramer earned a runner-up finish at the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) Class 3A State Championship as part of a junior campaign that also saw him take home the SAC individual title.
Â
Kramer joins first-year Mark Gazi in Northwestern's incoming class for the 2024-25 season. The Wildcats are set to return seven letterwinners from last season's team that surged to the program's first Big Ten Conference title since 2006. That group includes a trio of returning All-Big Ten selections, led by Daniel Svärd, who became only the third two-time Big Ten individual champion in program history.
