EVANSTON, Ill. – No. 20 Northwestern closes out its non-conference schedule when it faces off with Virginia Tech on Sunday, Sept. 9. Kickoff from Blacksburg is set for 12:30 p.m. CT on ACC Network.

Last time out, Northwestern raced past Weber State 4-1 behind a first half brace from Megan Norkett. Emma Phillips and Ella Hase tacked on in the second half to move the 'Cats to 5-0-2 on the season.

NU is unbeaten through seven games for the first time since 2018. The Wildcats rank 11th nationally in scoring offense, averaging 3.43 goals per game. The 'Cats rank second in the Big Ten in scoring margin (2.72), trailing only Nebraska (3.00). Northwestern is averaging 17.6 shots per game, while allowing just 6.0 shots per game.

Four different Wildcats have notched a goal and an assist in the same game this season (Aulicino, Boade, del Carmen, Hase). Boade has done so three times (at Marquette, vs. Boston U, at Vanderbilt). Aulicino (at Marquette, vs. Oakland) and Hase (at Marquette, vs. Weber State) have done so twice.

Meg Boade ranks first in the Big Ten and second nationally with eight assists.

Ella Hase has tallied five goals so far this season, surpassing her total from her previous three seasons combined (4).
