EVANSTON, Ill. – Despite an 18-5 edge in shots, Northwestern was unable to find the breakthrough in a scoreless draw against Illinois at Martin Stadium.
The draw moved Northwestern moved to 7-2-3 overall and 1-2-1 in Big Ten play following the draw.
How it Happened
Northwestern totaled 18 shots in the scoreless tie, putting four of them on goal. The Wildcats held Illinois to only five shots with just three shots on goal. Reiley Fitzpatrick tallied three saves in her fourth shutout of the season.
