EVANSTON, Ill. – After falling behind 2-0 early, Emma Phillips bagged her first career brace to level the score at two apiece before Nebraska scored a late goal to escape Evanston with a 3-2 win.

The loss dropped Northwestern's record to 7-3-3 overall and 1-3-1 in Big Ten play.

How it Happened

Nebraska broke open the scoring when Eleanor Dale scored in the 27th minute, assisted by Sarah Weber and Lauryn Anglim.

The Cornhuskers doubled the lead immediately on a goal from Briley Hill in the 28th minute, assisted by Gwen Lane.

Northwestern halved the deficit in the 71st minute when Caterina Regazzoni's free kick found a wide open Emma Phillips at the far post who headed the cross home for her fourth goal of the season.

After earning a corner kick in the 84th minute, Meg Boade served in a corner kick that found an elevating Emma Phillips, who made no mistake, levelling the game at two apiece.

Nebraska scored the eventual game-winner on Dale's goal in the 85th minute, assisted by Weber.
