No. 16 'Cats Travel to Maryland for Big Ten Clash

EVANSTON, Ill. – No. 16 Northwestern men's soccer will travel to College Park for a Friday night clash with Maryland. Kickoff from Ludwig Field is set for 6 p.m. CT on B1G+.
Last time out, the 'Cats exploded for four goals in a 4-2 win over Ohio State. After falling behind 1-0 in the 24th minute, Jason Gajadhar tallied his first goal of the season to level the game at one apiece. In the 33rd minute, Bryant Mayer elevated to a Collin McCamy corner kick and headed it home to give the Wildcats a 2-1 lead into halftime. Northwestern jumped on OSU in the 48th minute, with Brandon Clagette adding on to the lead on the counterattack to give NU a 3-1 lead. A penalty kick goal for the Buckeyes made the game 3-2, before Fritz Volmar iced the game with his first career collegiate goal in the 73rd minute.
The Wildcats are unbeaten through nine games for the first time since 2008, when they also started 7-0-2.
Weiss leads the Big Ten in Shots (27), Goals (6), Assists (6), and Points (18). The Syosset, N.Y. native ranks second nationally in Points (18), eighth nationally in assists (6), and 24th nationally in Goals (6).
Collin McCamy ranks second in the Big Ten, trailing only Weiss, with three assists.

Friday night's meeting will be the 43rd all-time meeting between Northwestern and Maryland. Maryland leads the all-time series 7-3-2. The Terrapins took the most recent meeting 1-0 battle in the Big Ten Tournament Quarterfinals last season.
