Cross Country to Open 2023 Season at Flyers Flames Challenge

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - Northwestern cross country is set to open their 2023 season on Friday in Romeoville at the Flyers Flames Challenge. Action in the women's 4k race is slated to begin at 6:00 pm at the Lewis Cross Country Course.
Set to join the Wildcats in action will be co-hosts UIC and Lewis along with local foe Chicago State, Indiana Tech and Saint Xavier. Live results can be accessed here.
Coming off their first team NCAA Championship appearance in two decades, Jill Miller's squad enters this fall ranked third in the Midwest Region in USTFCCCA's Preseason Rankings. The team welcomes back 2022 second-team All-Big Ten honoree Kelea Bartolotto and two of last season's top performers in juniors Ava Earl and Anna Hightower. In addition, Miller added seven first years and four transfers to her roster.
Following the Flyers Flames Challenge, Northwestern will return to action next Saturday, September 9, at the Big Ten Conference Preview in Madison, Wisconsin.
