TOLEDO, Ohio – Northwestern used a pair of late first half goals to race past Toledo on Sunday afternoon at Paul Hotmer Field.
The Wildcats remain undefeated on the season, with a 3-0-1 record.

How it Happened
Northwestern took a 1-0 lead in the 41st minute when Caterina Regazzoni fired a goal past the keeper from long range for her first goal of the season. Big Ten assists leader Josie Aulicino assisted the goal.
The Wildcats tacked on another score on a goal from Jaelyn Eisenhart -- her first goal as a Wildcat -- in the 44th minute. Meg Boade assisted the goal.
Ingrid Falls tacked on to the lead in the 55th minute, curling one into the top-left corner of the goal to give the 'Cats a 3-0 lead. Aulicino assited the goal.
The Rockets got on the board with an 84th-minute penalty kick goal from Madison Medalle. The goal broke Northwestern's 354:58 shutout streak to open the 2023 campaign.
Game Notes
- Reiley Fitzpatrick recorded four saves for the Wildcats out of nine total Rockets shots.
- Northwestern fired a season-high 26 shots, placing 16 on goal.
