'Cats Trek to Toledo for Sunday Showdown

EVANSTON, Ill. – Following a 7-0 triumph over Oakland that saw Josie Aulicino notch a hat trick and Michael Moynihan collect his 300th career win, Northwestern will hit the road for the second time this year to take on Toledo. Kickoff from Paul Hotmer Field is set for 12 p.m. CT on ESPN+.
Josie Aulicino recorded the seventh hat trick in program history against Oakland, Northwestern's first since Addie Steiner notched three goals against UIC on August 27, 2014. With three goals and three asssists on Thursday night, Aulicino ranks second in assists (25), third in points (65), and fourth in goals (20), in Northwestern history. The Northville, Michigan native ranks first or tied for first in the Big Ten in the following categories: shots (19), shots on goal (9), goals (4), assists (4), points (11).
Meg Boade and Ingrid Falls each notched a career high two assists against Oakland. Boade's two assists against Oakland brings her total to three on the season, tying her for second in the Big Ten.
Aurea del Carmen tallied a goal and an assist against Oakland, becoming the fourth different Wildcat this season to notch both a goal and an assist in the same game (Aulicino, Boade, and Hase).
First-year Megan Norkett recorded her first career assist in the 72nd minute with a cross into the box that found Bridget Mitchell, who slotted it home.
Emma Phillips is the only Wildcat to have played all 270 minutes this season.
Northwestern's 11 goals are the most through three games in program history.
Sunday's matchup will mark the first all-time meeting between Northwestern and Toledo on the pitch. The Rockets are 0-1-1, having fallen 2-1 to Loyola on Friday.
