Chase Audige Joining Miami Heat for NBA Summer League

EVANSTON, Ill. — Former Northwestern guard Chase Audige agreed to a deal Friday to join the Miami Heat for the NBA 2K24 Summer League.
Audige, who opted to stay in the NBA draft process at the end of May, did not hear his name called as one of the 58 selections during the draft Thursday night. The Coram, New York, native is now joining the Eastern Conference champions as an undrafted free agent (UDFA).
Audige blossomed into one of the nation's premier two-way threats in his final season in Evanston, averaging 2.4 steals per game, a mark which helped earn him co-Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year honors and as a finalist for Naismith Defensive Player of the Year. Operating alongside fellow All-Big Ten guard Boo Buie, Audige notched 14.1 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game, securing him a second team All-Big Ten selection.
His presence on both ends of the court helped carry the 'Cats to the program's second-ever NCAA Tournament, including a 20-point performance in a round of 64 win over Boise State, and a second-place finish in the Big Ten, the program's highest conference finish since the 1958-59 season.
Northwestern fans can catch Audige in action starting on July 3, when the Heat take on the Los Angeles Lakers in the California Classic Summer League. The NBA Summer League officially commences on July 7.
