EVANSTON, Ill. — With a 16-6 win over Rutgers, No. 2 Northwestern collected its fourth Big Ten win, remaining undefeated in conference play and improving to 12-1 on the season.

The Wildcats were led by five goals, an assist, a ground ball and a caused turnover from Hailey Rhatigan. The graduate transfer scored the first and final goals for the 'Cats, bookending another prolific performance perfectly.

Izzy Scane followed with four strikes, putting her at 253 career goals and in sole control of third place in program history.

Erin Coykendall, Madison Taylor and Samantha Smith followed with two goals apiece to round out the Wildcat offense. Coykendall also posted four assists, her third straight game with at least three helpers. Taylor followed with a career high three assists.

As usual, Molly Laliberty was a force between the pipes, notching eight saves. Thursday night's tilt was her third game this season with more saves than goals allowed.

Laliberty was assisted by a stingy defense led by Allie Berkery, Kendall Halpern, Samantha White and Jane Hansen. Berkery led the squad with three caused turnovers and three ground balls. Halpern also caused three turnovers and picked up a ground ball. White and Hansen both posted two caused turnovers apiece and two and three ground balls respectively.
