EVANSTON, Ill. — No. 3 Northwestern (5-1) is gearing up for a top-5 match up with undefeated No. 4 Stony Brook (4-0) on Friday at 7 p.m. CT in Ryan Fieldhouse.

10 Things to Know

  2. After a 24-7 win against Vanderbilt and a 24-3 win over Youngstown State, Northwestern's highest goal totals and margins of victory so far this season, the Wildcats are 5-1 on the season and riding a five-game win streak.
  3. With their blow out wins over the weekend, Northwestern now leads the nation in scoring offense (19.5 goals per game).
  4. Once again, Northwestern showcased their depth over the weekend, with 10 different Wildcats adding tallies to the scoreboard in each game. Hailey Rhatigan led the 'Cats scoring eight goals across the two games. Erin Coykendall and Dylan Amonte followed with seven. Coykendall also added seven assists.
  5. Dylan Amonte and Coykendall added seven goals each last weekend, while Coykendallposted a team-high seven assists.
  6. Coykendall leads Northwestern with 16 assists so far this season bringing her career total to 108 and bumping her to third all time in program history.
  7. First year Madison Taylor collected five goals and four ground balls over the weekend, earning her fourth straight Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor and her first Midfielder of the Week recognition. The last Wildcat to earn at least four straight Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors was Izzy Scane in 2019 when she earned the honor six weeks in a row (March 19-April 23).
  8. Taylor is second on the team in goals with 17. She is also second on the team in draw controls with 24.
  9. Kendall Halpern has joined Carleigh Mahoney at the helm of the Northwestern defense. Both caused two turnovers against Vanderbilt to lead the team with five on the season. Mahoney has picked up a whopping 14 ground balls on the season and Halpern has tallied seven.
  10. Eve Hritzuk, Maddy Balter and Jane Hansen all scored their first goals of the season over the weekend while Lucy Munro and Daniella Stroup found their first career goals.
