EVANSTON, Ill. — No. 2 Northwestern will continue their Big Ten slate this week with a match up against No. 18 Penn State at Ryan Fieldhouse at 7 p.m. CT. The clash will be televised on BTN.

- Northwestern (10-1, 2-0 B1G) won a pair of games last week, defeating Johns Hopkins 19-5 and Stanford 20-9. Erin Coykendall led the effort with 11 goals and five assists across the two games (5 goals and 2 assists against Johns Hopkins, career-high 6 goals and 3 assists against Stanford) earning her first IWCLA and Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honors.
- Hailey Rhatigan and Izzy Scane each added eight goals apiece last week, scoring four in each game. Rhatigan and Scane lead the nation in both career goals with 250 and 243 respectively and career goals per game with 4.67 and 3.79 per game.
- Madison Taylor also netted eight goals last week, a career-high tying five goals against Stanford and a hat trick against Johns Hopkins. Not to mention three assists, three ground balls and four draw controls across the two games. Her performance was more than enough to win her sixth Big Ten Freshman of the Week award. Samantha White also took home Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week honors for the first time this season.
- The 'Cats are 10-1 through the season's first 11 games for the third time in the last 10 years, as it went 11-0 in 2021 and 10-1 in 2013.
- Northwestern's 10 game winning streak is tied for the second-longest active streak in the country.
- Following its win against Stanford last week, Northwestern has won 28 straight home games, the third longest streak in the nation trailing North Carolina (39) and Stony Brook (31), both defeated by the 'Cats in Evanston this season. Northwestern's longest home winning streak is 58 games from 2004-10.
- The 'Cats own the best scoring offense in the country posting 18 goals per game and the second best scoring margin (8.27).
- Scane leads the nation with 47 goals and a 6.00 goals per game average.
- Head coach Kelly Amonte Hiller is 341-88 in her career and 96-25 during conference play during her 22 seasons at Northwestern.
