EVANSTON, Ill. – Vice President of Athletics and Recreation, Dr. Derrick Gragg, announced today that Northwestern is making a change in its volleyball leadership, as head coach Shane Davis and Northwestern Athletics have mutually agreed to part ways.
"We would like to thank Coach Davis for everything he has done over his eight seasons leading our volleyball program," said Gragg. "We have mutually agreed that based on the performance of the program during his tenure, it is time for a change in leadership. We wish Coach Davis the very best in his future endeavors."
Davis has served as the Wildcats' head coach for the past eight seasons. He led the program to a 103-128 (.446) overall record and a 45-105 (.300) Big Ten record.
Assistant coach Pedro Mendes will assist with program continuity while Northwestern conducts a national search for the next head coach.
