Evanston, Ill. — Northwestern (4-5, 2-4 B1G) head to Madison for a crucial inner-division battle as the Wildcats take on Wisconsin (5-4, 3-3 B1G) at Camp Randall Stadium at 2:30 p.m. CT on Saturday.

Five Things to Know:
- Northwestern is allowing a mere 173.6 passing yards per game this season, which ranks 11th nationally. Wisconsin enters the game at 82nd nationally in passing YPG at 213.9.
- DL Jaylen Pate was named to the PFF All-Defensive team for his 89.9 defensive grade and a 92.0 pass rush grade from PFF for his efforts against Iowa. His second quarter strip sack was his first sack in the purple and white and his first career forced fumble.
- The Northwestern defense allowed 169 yards of offense to Iowa, their fewest yards allowed in two years (169 yards vs. Indiana State, September 11, 2021) and fewest yards allowed to a Big Ten opponent since their 2019 matchup with Indiana (160 yards).
- Northwestern scored on one of two trips to the red zone against Iowa. Their turnover on downs at the 1 yard line marked only the second time the 'Cats have failed to score in the red zone. On the season, they have converted red zone trips into points 25 of 27 times, a rate of 89.3%, up significantly from their 77.9% rate from a season ago.
- David Braun is looking to become the first Northwestern head coach to win five or more games in his inaugural season since Walter McCornack led the 'Cats to a 10-1 record and co-Big Ten championship in 1903.
