ANN ARBOR, Mich. – After two days of competition at the B1G Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, Northwestern sits in sixth place in the team standings with 244 points.

Ashley Strouse followed up her school record in the 200-yard freestyle yesterday by moving up to fourth all-time in the 500-yard freestyle. The sophomore won the B-final of the event in 4:42.23 to finish 9th overall.

After moving to fourth all-time in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 1:58.32 in this morning's preliminaries, first-year Jamie Brennan finished sixteenth in finals with a 1:59.86.

First-years Audrey Yu and Lindsay Ervin finished 18th and 19th in the 50-yard freestyle in 22.70 and 22.82, respectively.

Yu teamed up with Justine Murdock, Hannah Brunzell and Miriam Guevara in the 400-yard medley relay, where the Wildcats finished fifth in 3:32.38, the seventh-fastest relay performance in school history.

On the boards, seniors Markie Hopkins (289.10) and Jaye Patrick (288.20) finished 12th and 13th in the 1-meter diving final.

Action in Ann Arbor continues tomorrow with preliminaries and finals of the 100-yard butterfly, 400-yard individual medley, 200-yard freestyle, 100-yard breaststroke and 100-yard backstroke, plus timed finals of the 200-yard freestyle relay.
