No. 9 Women's Soccer Heads to Lincoln to take on Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. –– No. 9 Northwestern puts its 7-1-1 (1-0-0 B1G) record on the line Thursday night when it takes on Nebraska. The Wildcats are off to their best start since 2016, when they started 9-0-0.
Northwestern comes into Thursday's contest unbeaten in its last seven and having won five straight. Last time out, the Wildcats opened Big Ten play with a 3-0 win over Purdue. Ella Hase, Meg Boade, and Josie Aulicino tallied goals for the 'Cats and the Northwestern defense held the Boilermakers without a shot.

Nebraska (3-3-3, 1-0-0 Big Ten) will be hosting its ninth home game of the season when the Wildcats come to town. The Huskers have a 3-2-3 record at Hibner Stadium, and are fresh off a 1-0 win in their Big Ten opener over Minnesota. Sarah Weber scored the game's lone goal in the 88th minute off assists from Gwen Lane and Haley Peterson. Weber leads Nebraska in goals (4), assists (2), points (10), shots (38), and shots on goal (13).
Northwestern holds a 5-6-3 record all-time against Nebraska. The Wildcats have won the last four against the Cornhuskers and are unbeaten in the last six matches in the series.
The Wildcats continue their road trip when they take on Minnesota at 1 p.m. CT Sunday on B1G+.
