Evanston, IL - Northwestern fell to No. 14 Notre Dame 14-4 in their final home game of the season at Rocky & Berenice Miller Park.
Anthony Calarco, Ruben Fontes and Tony Livermore led the Wildcats on offense with a pair of hits respectively and an RBI apiece. One of the Big Ten's best with runners in scoring position in 2022, Calarco now has 49 RBIs on the season. Jay Beshears also drove home a run on an RBI groundout in the 4th inning
David Utagawa got the start for Northwestern, tossing two innings on a bullpen day for the Wildcats.
Northwestern will travel to Minnesota for their final series of the season, a pivotal Big Ten matchup against Minnesota with a spot in the Big Ten Tournament on the line. The series with the Golden Gophers begins on Thursday night at 6:30pm.
