EVANSTON, Ill. – No. 2 Northwestern will travel to College Park to face No. 8 Maryland at 10:30 a.m. CT on Saturday, April 23, with a chance to win its second consecutive Big Ten regular season title. The game will be televised on Big Ten Network.
Standings Shakedown
Northwestern (13-2, 5-0 B1G) is in first place of the Big Ten Conference standings with a 5-0 league record and a nine-game winning streak. Maryland (13-1, 3-0 B1G) is right on Northwestern's heels with a 3-0 conference record and a five-game win streak. NU is looking to claim back-to-back Big Ten regular season championships for the first time in program history. The Wildcats have not lost a Big Ten matchup since April 11, 2019, when they fell to the Terps, 17-13.
Series History vs. Maryland
Last season, the Big Ten regular season championship title was also decided between these two teams. Northwestern came away with two wins, 25-12 and 20-10, to easily clinch the regular season title. The 'Cats are 10-17 all-time against Maryland.

The Wildcats continued their conference dominance last Saturday with a 19-12 victory over Johns Hopkins. Lauren Gilbert stole the show, tallying a game-high six goals. Erin Coykendall and Jill Girardi each completed a hat trick. Girardi pulled down 15 draws to overwhelm the Blue Jays at the circle, 26-8.
