'Cats Host Roosevelt in Midweek Clash

Evanston, IL - Northwestern baseball will look to follow up an impressive weekend as they host Roosevelt University this Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. CT.
In their last midweek matchup, Northwestern dominated UIC in a 13-3 win. Ruben Fontes scored 3 runs for the Cats', and also hit .750 against UIC.
The Wildcats opened their Big Ten home slate with a series win over Penn State. In a 5-4 walkoff win on Saturday, Anthony Calarco had a standout game collecting a home run, two doubles, and 3 RBIs.
The Cat's closed out the series with another 5-2 walkoff win in ten innings, as a pair of outfield assists from Stephen Hrustich and Andrew Pinkston kept the game tied. In the bottom of the tenth inning, Hrustich rocketed a three-run walk-off home run to left field and delivered Northwestern another Big Ten series win.
