Wildcats Release 2022 'By The Players' Uniform

EVANSTON, Ill. – The Northwestern men's basketball team and Under Armour unveiled the sixth edition of the 'By The Players' uniform in advance of the regular season finale on Sunday, March 6. The annual process is a team effort among the seniors to create the uniform the 'Cats will wear on Senior Day.
- Northwestern's senior class of Ryan Green, Pete Nance and Elyjah Williams worked with Under Armour to create the uniform.
- The "THE" above the 'Cats is there for a reason. Williams is from Evanston which is referred to as "The Town."
- The shorts feature a ball with claws around it. Greer hails from Atlanta and it's a play off the old Atlanta Hawks uniform where the hawk is gripping the basketball with its talons. It's also an ode to the jerseys they wore as freshman.
- An outline of the Chicago skyline is on the back of the jersey with a four color block stripe showcasing different shades of purple. This honors the old Cleveland Cavaliers unform for Nance, where his father played and where he grew up.
