EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern hosts Rutgers on Saturday and Maryland on Sunday this weekend at the Combe Tennis Center. Both matches are set to start at 12 p.m. CT.

For both matches, live stats can be found here and streams can be found here.

The Wildcats are 7-5 overall and 2-0 in the Big Ten. They are ranked No. 35 in the latest ITA poll, a jump of four spots from last week. The Scarlet Knights are 5-8 and 0-2 in conference while the Terrapins are 12-2 and 1-1 in conference.

The 'Cats are coming off a midweek road trip to No. 10 Duke, where they fell 4-1. Christina Hand earned a win for the Wildcats, while Sydney Pratt and Ema Lazic were locked in tight three set battles when the match was clinched.

Before that, Northwestern opened up Big Ten play with two wins at home last weekend against Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Rutgers is coming off a 4-0 loss to Penn and has fallen in Big Ten play to Wisconsin, 6-1, and Maryland 7-0.

The Terrapins have an impressive record against East Coast opposition, but are 0-2 against the two teams they've faced in the ITA top 75 national teams, falling against VCU, currently ranked No. 63, 4-3, and Illinois, currently ranked No. 57, by the same scoreline in their last time out. Before their loss to the Illini, the Terps had put together a 10-match winning streak, their longest in 20 years.

Northwestern has faced neither Maryland nor Rutgers since the spring of 2019, when it swept both teams 7-0 in back to back matches in Evanston.
