EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern travels to Columbia for a five-game slate at the Missouri Tournament this weekend. The 'Cats are set for two games against Ball State, two matchups with No. 18 Missouri, and one game against Stanford. Friday and Saturday's games against Missouri will be streamed on SEC Network+ and ESPN+.
 
The Wildcats sit at 15-4 this season, including five wins against ranked opponents. It is the third time in the last four seasons that the 'Cats have won 15 of their first 20 games.
 
Northwestern is coming off a dominant trip to the Southern Illinois Invitational in Carbondale two weekends ago, which saw the Wildcats go 5-0 and outscore their opponents 33-6 over five games.
 
Sophomore Lauren Boyd threw nine shutout innings over two games in Carbondale, striking out 12 batters while walking just two. Boyd has posted a 0.78 ERA over 18.0 innings this season.
 
Nikki Cuchran hit .444 (8-for-18) over the weekend, raising her batting average to a team-high .356. First-year Grace Nieto reached base eight times in the five games, raising her on-base percentage to .400.
 
Six Wildcat starters now hold an on-base percentage over .400 this season: Rachel Lewis (.480), Jordyn Rudd (.439), Nikki Cuchran (.415), Maeve Nelson (.414), Skyler Shellmyer (.408), and Grace Nieto (.400).
 
Northwestern is 4-1 all-time against Missouri, with the last meeting coming in 2012. This is the 14th and 15th matchups with Ball State in the two programs' histories, with the 'Cats earning ten wins, including a 10-4 victory two weeks ago .
 
The Wildcats will face off against Stanford for the 15th time on Sunday, with the two programs splitting the all-time series 7-7.
