'Cats Set for Road Tests at Oregon and Notre Dame

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern is set for two road contests this weekend, traveling to take on Oregon at 3 p.m. CT on Friday and Notre Dame at 11 a.m. CT on Sunday.

The 'Cats sit at 8-2 on the season and are riding a four-game win streak, including three 4-3 victories. 
 
Last weekend at the Combe Tennis Center, Northwestern swept a three-game slate against Princeton, Duke, and UIC, including an incredible 4-3 comeback win against a strong Duke team.
 
Following the impressive weekend, the 'Cats received top-25 votes for the first time this season. 
 
Oregon sits at 3-1 out of the Pac-12 and is a strong team year-in and year-out. The Ducks went 15-5 last season, earning a spot in the NCAA Tournament. Oregon has won its last 18 games at home, providing a tough road test for the 'Cats.
 
The 'Cats are 2-0 all-time against Oregon, with their last meeting coming on Feb. 19, 2004.
 
Notre Dame is a perennial contender out of the ACC, having competed in 28 of the past 30 NCAA Tournaments. The Fighting Irish advanced to the second round of the tournament last season after compiling a 15-11 record. They hold a 4-1 record this season.
 
Northwestern and Notre Dame's last meeting came on March 8, 2020 in Evanston, with the 'Cats coming out with a 4-2 victory.
