Aulicino and Regazzoni Earn Honors from Top Drawer Soccer

EVANSTON, Ill. – Josie Aulicino and Caterina Regazzoni each earned postseason honors from Top Drawer Soccer. Aulicino was named to Top Drawer's Top 100, which highlights some of the top players that competed during the 2022 season. Regazzoni was selected to Top Drawer's Freshman Best XI Second Team. Aulicino's selection to the Top 100 comes on the heels of an outstanding junior season. The Northville, Michigan native led the Wildcats in goals (9), assists (10), points (28), shots (60), and shots on goal. In addition to leading her team in each of these statistics, Aulicino ranked in the top ten of the Big Ten in each of these categories, the only player in the conference to do so. Her 10 assists in 2022 rank second all-time on the single season assist leaderboard, and her 21 career assists are second-most in program history after just three seasons in Evanston. Aulicino earned both Third Team All-Big Ten honors and United Soccer Coaches Third Team All-North Region for the second year in a row.  Regazzoni's breakout season has earned her a number of honors, most recently a Freshman Best XI Second Team nod. The Swiss national has already been named Big Ten Freshman of the Year, Big Ten All-Freshman Team, and Third Team All-Big Ten. Regazzoni scored the first goal of the season for Northwestern in a 2-1 win at Kansas State, her collegiate debut. The first-year's most prolific game of the season came in a 4-2 win at Nebraska, in which Regazzoni notched a goal and two assists. Regazzoni later tallied a goal in a 3-0 win over Michigan and an assist in Northwestern's 3-0 win over SIUE in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament.
