EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern volleyball saw senior Temi Thomas-Ailara named to First Team All-Big Ten and first-year Kathryn Randorf selected to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team. Additionally junior Grace Reininga earned Big Ten Sportsmanship honors.
Thomas-Ailara grabbed first team recognition for the third time in her career and led the conference in total kills (502) and ranked second in kills per set (4.33). The Glenwood, Ill. product earned three Big Ten Player of the Week awards this season, the most by an individual in a single-season in program history. Thomas-Ailara is fifth in program history with 1,546 career kills. She is the second three-time first team selection in program history, joining Stephanie Holthus (2011-13).
Randorf ranked third on the team averaging 2.44 kills per set. The first-year recorded a season-high 15 kills in August against Northeastern and later tallied a career-high six blocks in the Wildcats upset win over No. 12 Purdue. Randorf is the eight all-freshman selection in school history, and the first since Thomas-Ailara in 2019.
