Wildcats,
We strive for comprehensive excellence in all of our endeavors—including competition—and this season's results were not reflective of that pursuit. We will not shy away from the high expectations we have for all of our programs, which compete in the nation's premier intercollegiate athletic conference. Coach Fitzgerald and his staff have already begun their evaluation of all aspects of the program as we look ahead to 2023 and I am confident that next year we will once again rise to our standard of excellence.
We are proud of the tremendous young men in our Northwestern football program, our dedicated coaches and our incredible support staff, for their tireless efforts week in and week out during the 2022 season. They represented our university with class, character and the work ethic that drives so many of our institution's successes.
Thank you to our loyal and passionate Wildcats fans for your continued support and know that we are working hard to make you proud each and every day.
