EVANSTON, Ill. – Three Wildcats on defense were named to the All-Big Ten Team on Tuesday.
Adetomiwa Adebawore and Bryce Gallagher were both named Third Team All-Big Ten by the media, while Cameron Mitchell earned honorable mention honors. Adebawore, Gallagher and Mitchell were all named honorable mention by the coaches.

Adebawore concluded his Northwestern career with a dominant season, registering 31 pressures and 27 run stops (third most amongst B1G edge rushers), per Pro Football Focus. His 5.0 sacks, 9.0 tackles for loss, and 38 total tackles all set new career-highs this season and led to his second-consecutive All-Big Ten recognition. Adebawore will participate in the Senior Bowl in February after recording 12.5 sacks and 24.5 tackles for loss in 36 games for the Wildcats.

Gallagher ranked fourth in the Big Ten with 100 total tackles this season and second with 58 solo tackles. The Raynham, Mass. native is the 17th Wildcat to total 100+ tackles in a season in the Pat Fitzgerald era, joining a list that includes his older brother, Blake. Gallagher tallied 10+ tackles in six games this season, including a 16-tackle performance at Maryland when he became just the second Wildcat this century with 15+ tackles and 2.5+ tackles for loss in a game, joining his linebackers coach Tim McGarigle.

Mitchell earns the second-consecutive All-Big Ten award of his career after leading Northwestern with nine pass breakups this season. Mitchell broke his previous career-highs in nearly every category this season, tallying 52 total tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and his first solo sack.
