Men's Basketball Suffers First Home Loss in ACC/Big Ten Challenge

EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern men's basketball team suffered its first home loss of the year dropping an ACC/Big Ten Challenge game to Pitt 87-58 on Monday night in Welsh-Ryan Arena.
Chase Audige led the Wildcats (5-2) in scoring for the third straight game, with 14 points and two steals. Boo Buie tacked on 10 points and five assists while Ty Berry added seven points and a team-high five boards. The Panthers connected on 48% of their shots (26-for-54) and were led by Blake Hinson's 22 points.
How It Happened
Northwestern hit its first two shots from long range, but trailed 37-28 heading into the locker room after Audige drilled a three as time expired. The Panthers (5-3) totaled 17 points in the first four minutes of the second half and outscored NU in the period, 50-30.
